Advice For Those Who Want To Spend A Weekend Playing Golf In Albufeira

Golf, water sports, parks, beaches, restaurants, clubs, and much more – the list of things you can do and enjoy in Albufeira is endless. If you’re visiting Albufeira for the weekend, there is so much to uncover besides golf. Every aspect of the town is centered on tourists, so clearly it’s a tourist paradise. We’ll take a look at a whole list of things you can do in Albufeira.

Accommodation and Golf

Albufeira is the ideal golf destination in the Algarve. Tourists who visit the town to play golf have an entire ecosystem waiting for them. The resorts and hotels are geared towards golf tourists. Most of the resorts here have golf courses close by.

With only a couple of days to spend in Albufeira, you don’t have much time to explore all the attractions of the town. Make golf your priority and visit the top three courses in and around the town.

The Balaia Golf Village is a short 9-hole course perfect for you to introduce the game to the kids. If you’re a beginner start your golf tour with this course.

The Pine Cliffs is equally or even more famous 9-hole course maintained by the Sheraton Hotel. This is a challenging course which is located on top of the cliff overlooking the town. With many of the holes at a high altitude, the course is rightly nicknamed by the locals as the Devils Parlor.

The third must visit course is the Salgados which has 18-holes and is situated near the Praia de Gale beach. So close to the waters, this course has many of the characteristics of Links. The course has scanty vegetation and plenty of water hazards.

Restaurants and Night Life

Evenings at the Albufeira are best spent eating out and enjoying the nightlife of the town. There are many bars and restaurants in and around the town that serve Indian, Italian, Chinese, and English cuisines apart from the local delicacies.

The road connecting the beach area and the main resort street is known as The Strip – a hub for a network of nightclubs and bars. Most of the nightclubs and bars in this area are open from daybreak till late at night.

Beaches, Parks, Museums, and Churches

After golf, mouthwatering dishes, and fun at the nightclubs you’ll have little time left to visit other attractions in Albufeira. Nonetheless, here is the list of things you can do on your next golf trip to the Algarve. Visit the Parque Aventura Park, Aqualand Algarve Water Park, and the Zoomarine Theme Park. Go on a jet ski tour, go dolphin watching or do some fishing. Explore the beach caves or sunbathe on the sandy beaches. Visit museums, galleries, churches, or places of historical significance.

I wanted to find a good adviser on golf trips but find this indeed helpful place where you can both boost your skills and pick the most picturesque golf spot.
